The Longest Fall is a short story which was written by Patricia A. Jackson. It was published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 11 by West End Games in November 1996. The story was reprinted in the Tales from the New Republic anthology book and was later made available in the Hyperspace section of StarWars.com. The tale tells of the execution of Jovan Vharing, captain of the Imperial Star Destroyer Interrogator, by his Dark Jedi overseer, High Inquisitor Tremayne.
