The Prize Pelt: The Tale of Bossk is a short story written by Kathy Tyers and featured in Tales of the Bounty Hunters which was published in December 1996 by Bantam Spectra. It concerns the backstory of the bounty hunter Bossk.

When Bossk takes on a mission from the Empire - hunt down Han Solo - he reluctantly accepts the help of a Wookiee bounty hunter and his human apprentice. What he doesn't know is that they have no intention of anything but a double-cross…and what they do know is that he intends to double-cross them.
