"The Sniffer" was a nickname given to various bodyguards assigned to Leia Organa Solo in 13 ABY.

During The Black Fleet Crisis, Leia Solo was issued several bodyguards that changed often. Rather than learning the name of each new bodyguard, she instead nicknamed her two bodyguards based on their duties.

The Sniffer received his nickname because he preceded Leia wherever she went, using electrical and chemical sensors he carried to detect potential threats to the Chief of State.

Leia refused to let the Sniffer or his partner, "the Shooter," accompany her outside the Imperial Palace.
