The West Fissure, also known as Region 29, was an agricultural region of a world that orbited around the moon Raspar-6[1] in the Raspar system.[2]

At one point, during the month of Stolivea, when the moon Raspar-6 suffered an atomic blast, the explosion was expected to affect the atmosphere around The West Fissure, generating talking fogs that spread into low valleys and hollows, as well as irrational echoes, heavy rain and eruption of snow in lower elevations. Forecasts advised composting and for dust farmers in The West Fissure to take up hydroponics in fribulation tanks during this period.

Behind the scenesEdit

The West Fissure was mentioned in a one-page weather forecast titled "Region 29: The West Fissure", written by Bob Carrau for the 1993 book Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a publication that collects concept designs and photographs from various George Lucas projects.[1] Lucasfilm employee Leland Chee, who maintains the Holocron continuity database, has indicated that information contained in the book is non-canonical.[3]
