Thearterra was a planet of the Chiss Ascendancy in the Unknown Regions. An insignificant world, Thearterra was perpetually wracked by volcanoes, hailstorms, and groundquakes.

Behind the scenesEdit

The Essential Atlas refers to it as "an obscure body in the S-K system", which are the exact words used by General Klytus to describe Earth to Ming the Merciless in the opening scenes of the 1980 film Flash Gordon. Additionally, the description of the planet's climate matches that of planetary attacks that Ming inflicts upon the Earth in the movie. The name Thearterra is a combination of Thear, an anagram for Earth, and terra, the Earth's name in Latin.
