Lieutenant Theomet Danlé was a member of Senator Padmé Amidala's honor guard. He also became victim of the assassination attempt in which Cordé, a handmaiden decoy, was killed instead of the Senator.

[edit] Biography
Theomet Danlé was from a family of miners that had been practicing their craft for over eight generations. However, he found his way out of mining due to his physical achievements and high scores on various aptitude tests, and was placed into the Theed Palace Guard. This unexpected turn of events produced some misgivings early on in his new career, but he eventually settled into his role and made peace with breaking tradition. Yet he never forgot his family still living in Kwilaan, ensuring that they received part of his income.
Prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the growing Separatist movement took its toll on the planet Naboo and the Danlé family. The influx of refugees taken in by the planet and the protests of disgruntled space miners working on the moons nearly brought the mining business to a halt. Despite attempting to remain aloof from these debates, Senator Amidala was nonetheless dragged into the tension of this situation.
Unfortunately, these series of events left Theomet's family with no choice but to rely on his income. However, it was not enough. The death of his grandfather due to their impoverished condition left the whole family shaken and devastated. It also caused Theomet to re-examine his loyalty and to question the policies of Queen Jamillia and Senator Amidala.
One night while drowning his sorrows in drink and vehemently expressing his views of his monarch, Theomet was approached by Zam Wesell. Disguised as a reporter set on exposing the hypocrisy of Senator Amidala, the bounty hunter coerced the intoxicated lieutenant into allowing her to plant a "listening device" in the Senator's diplomatic barge. Little did Danlé know that he would die as the result of an assassination attempt he himself facilitated, when the bomb planted by the bounty hunter exploded.

Theomet Danlé was portrayed by Steve John Shepherd in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, during which time he was known only as "Naboo Lieutenant".
The backstory and name of the character were developed by winstonvalleyjedi through Hyperspace's What's The Story? feature.
This was the first character to speak in Attack of the Clones.
