Theta Squad was an elite clone commando unit, and was part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the beginning of the Clone Wars.

All members of this unit (with the exception of Darman) were killed during the Battle of Geonosis when they failed to destroy an underground battle droid factory. Most of them died as they entered the foundry. After they failed to destroy the factory, Delta Squad was assigned to destroy it, which they did successfully.

Darman went on to become part of Omega Squad.
