Theta Squad was an elite clone commando unit, and was part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the beginning of the Clone Wars.

All members of this unit (with the exception of Darman) were killed during the Battle of Geonosis. After they failed to destroy a battle droid factory, Delta Squad was assigned to destroy it, which they did successfully.

Theta Squad may have been Grievous' first victims, since most of them were killed once they entered the droid foundry.

Darman went on to become part of Omega Squad.
