Thon's Orchard

The Thon's Orchard was a Gallofree Yards GR-75 medium transport stationed at Echo Base on Hoth during the Galactic Civil War. The name may have been in reference to the great Jedi Master Thon.
The Thon's Orchard was one of thirty transports used to evacuate Echo Base when Death Squadron discovered the existence of the base. During the evacuation, the transport was piloted by Tarrin Datch and escorted by an X-wing piloted by Wedge Antilles as well as a Y-wing piloted by Derek Klivian with Wes Janson as the gunner. The escape of the Thon's Orchard was complicated by an Imperial Star Destroyer in its path and the destruction of Echo Base's ion cannon. To compensate for this, Antilles successfully utilized the Tallon Split to distract the Star Destroyer's targeting systems. Its path clear, the Thon's Orchard jumped to lightspeed along with its escorts and rejoined the Alliance Fleet at the rendezvous point.
