Thoris Darus was a male Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, remaining in office from 60 to 52 BBY. Darus was from the planet of Corulag, and was the successor of Vaila Pecivas. He was an incorrigible womanizer and enthusiast of sport, opera, legitimate gambling, and high cuisine.

In 57 BBY, upon the request of Seswenna sector Senator Ulm Brashere, Darus appointed Ranulph Tarkin as the Governor-General of Seswenna sector.^[1] He was succeeded by Frix. In later years, some citizens of the Republic would blame him for beginning the culture of decadence that consumed the government before the rise of the Galactic Empire.^[2]
