Thoris Darus was a infamous Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic originated of Corulag, who served in office between the Chancellorship of Vaila Pecivas and the Chancellorship of Frix. He was an incorrigible womanizer and enthusiast of sport, opera, legitimate gambling, and high cuisine. He also was apparently more or less single-handedly responsible for the decadence of the Republic.^[1]

In 57 BBY, upon the request of Seswenna sector senator Ulm Brashere, Darus appointed Ranulph Tarkin the Governor-General of Seswenna sector.^[2]
