The Thrakians were a species of sentient insects native to the planet Thrakia which was located in the Hapes Cluster.

These insectoids possessed the capacity to genetically transmit their memories and worshiped their own power of speach. They remembered that in the recent past, they had communicated through pheromones alone, but over the course of three hundreds years they learned that they had the capacity to speak by clicking their mandibles together. This fact left the species overawed and they took it as a fact that they had been gifted by a higher being.
