The Thunderchild was a Nebulon-B escort frigate in service to the New Republic during the Galactic Civil War. It was part of a task force commanded by Admiral Ackbar during the Second Battle of Ciutric.

Behind the scenesEdit

It is likely that the Nebulon-B frigate Thunderchild was named in honor of the Thunder Child, the ironclad featured in H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds.
