Tiems was a city on an unidentified planet^[1] in the Tiems system of the Outer Rim Territories.^[2] During the Galactic Civil War, several thousand Alliance to Restore the Republic prisoners were held in the city. They were liberated by Alliance forces under the command of General Carlist Rieekan during the Battle of Tiems. The city was connected to other settlements by the Tiems Road, and was located near the Gopps Forest and the Blue River.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The city of Tiems, and the subsequent battle fought near the city, was first mentioned in the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook (First Edition), published by West End Games in 1990. In 2009, The Essential Atlas included a reference to a "Tiems system" in the appendix. This article assumes that the city of Tiems is located on a planet within the Tiems system.
