Tierfon was a small planet in the Tierfon system of the Sumitra sector, located in the Expansion Region. Its surface was dotted with mountain ranges, huge gorges, and rock cliffs.

After the death of King Alaric the whole sector including this planet, left the Republic and joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Early in the Galactic Civil War, Tierfon was the site of the Tierfon Rebel Base, and home of the Tierfon Yellow Aces.
