- "They say any woman who can survive a plate of tiingilar is a keeper."
- ―Torian Cadera
Tiingilar was an intensely spicy Mandalorian meat and vegetable casserole. Tiingilar's spices gave the dish a pungent scent, enough to burn an individual's nasal passages. This effect was known as hetikles,[1] or "noseburn", when translated from the Mando'a language into Galactic Basic Standard. Prized by Mandalorians,[3] it was one of four qualities sought after in Mandalorian cooking.[1]

Edit
Tiingilar first appeared in Star Wars canon in the 2008 novel, Order 66: A Republic Commando Novel by author Karen Traviss. The dish was later mentioned in the 2012 BioWare-made MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic.
