Tojjevvuk, son of Tvrrdko, was an albino Wookiee who was a master at freeing his fellow Wookiees from slavery. These experiences are what probably led him into becoming openly critical of certain Wookiee social rules which he deemed had turned his race into prey, for example he was obviously disgusted at how it was illegal for Wookiees to use their claws "as nature intended" thus marking him a madclaw.

This rare, albino Wookiee was a member of the Tojj clan who was born around the same time as Chewbacca. In previous generations, an albino Wookiee would have been left in the lower levels of Kashyyyk's forest to be eaten by another predator, since white fur stood out against the forest background of the wroshyr trees. However, Tojjevvuk's father Tvrrdko would not let his son be killed, and Tojjevvuk was brought up with the protection of his family, and grew to maturity. Tojjevvuk threatened Chewbacca, shortly after learning that Chewbacca had been courting Mallatobuck. Tojjevvuk believed that he was more worthy of her and challenged Chewbacca to a fight, even though it broke the rules of honor among the Wookiees. Chewbacca maneuvered Tojjevvuk into the lower levels of the forest, where the albino Wookiee was caught and killed by one of the jungle predators.

Outwardly, the Tojj clan accepted Tojjevvuk's fate, but their anger toward Chewbacca's clan continued for many decades, and eventually extended to the Solo family through Chewbacca's life-debt to Han Solo.

This big white Wookie is one of the meanest of his kind. As a young Wookie he sold his family to the Empire. Thats the reason why his brother, Chewbacca, hates him so much.

He was killed when fighting with Chewbacca over Mallatobuck. Chewbacca blocked Tojjevvuk's hand attacks but was clawed in the side by Tojjevvuk's foot. Not wanting to disobey the laws, Chewbacca leaped off the rope bridge they were fighting on, daring Tojjevvuk to follow. Accepting the challenge, they plunged down into the forest. As they fell further and further down, Chewbacca eventually managed to get the upper hand and Tojjevvuk plunged into the Shadowlands where he was later killed by creatures of the forest floor.

Since he was killed by Chewbacca in the Shadowlands, Tojjevvuk was never brought to justice by his people and formally dishonored with the title Madclaw.
