Tomaas Azzameen was the head of the Azzameen family. He was the brother of Antan Azzameen, and the father of Galin, Emon, Aeron, and Ace Azzameen. Tomaas was also the head of Twin Suns Transport Services, the family's business.

BiographyEdit

Tomaas's decisions usually came from calm and calculated reflection into events, but despite this he would risk much in contracting with the Rebel Alliance. His success at making the family business grow caused a rivalry with Viraxo Shipping, and its head, K'Armyn Viraxo.

Tomaas was a strong supporter of the Rebellion's cause and lent what support he could through secretive trading deals, often putting himself at risk of capture or death at the hands of the Empire. In 3 ABY, Tomaas and his eldest son Galin were present on Hoth on the day the Empire assaulted the planet. Tomaas agreed to secure a large supply of bacta for the Rebels to deal with the massive casualties that would follow the battle's outcome. Upon departure, Tomaas and Galin, flying their personal transport Otana were assaulted by TIE Fighters from the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Corrupter, but these were destroyed thanks to their Rebel escort, in spite of the massive damage sustained by the Otana.

Tomaas often butted heads with his brother and partner Antan, who feared Tomaas' Rebel sympathies would lead their business and family to destruction.

Tomaas went with his children to pick up bacta from smugglers, who unfortunately turned out to be pirates using the bacta supply as bait. However, Tomaas' son Ace helped his siblings drive off the pirates and acquired the bacta, sparing the pirate's ship End Run despite Emon wanting to "space" them.

Tomaas and Galin again partnered up to deliver the bacta supply to the Rebels at a top-secret Rebel hospital, using the transport Vasudra. During this transfer, the Rebels were ambushed by the Corrupter and her task force, forcing the Rebels to evacuate the sector. Despite the desperate defense staged by the Rebels and his sons, Tomaas was trapped on the Vasudra with Galin when the Imperials destroyed his vessel, presumably killing him and Galin in the process.

LegacyEdit

Tomaas' contact with the Rebellion would prove costly for the Azzameens as the Imperials became aware of their activities following the ambush on the Hospital, and ordered the seizure of all Azzameen family assets. Twin Suns Services suffered heavily as the majority of its facilities were seized, but the Azzameen children (And eventually Antan) fled from Imperial custody.

Tomaas' ideals lived on in his children Ace, Aeron, and Emon, who joined the Rebellion in their cause to defeat the Empire. Ace Azzameen in particular would rise to become one of the greatest pilots in the Rebel Alliance.

Some time later, Antan claimed to his family that Tomaas was alive in Kessel Station along with Galin. However, this was only a plot to trap the kids and surrender them to the Empire, in revenge for their Rebel activities. This plot failed however, as the Azzameens survived the ambush and presumably forced Antan on the run. Having survived this ruse, the Azzameens assumed their father and brother to be dead for sure.
