[edit] Biography
Like most of his fellow Jedi, Traavis answered the call for Jedi leaders in the Grand Army of the Republic. He led his troops through countless battlefields during the Outer Rim Sieges, most notably on Monhudle, New Bakstre, and Biitu..[1] In the final stage of the conflict, Traavis was commanding Republic forces on Garqi. When the Republic accidentally destroyed a local village in an attack on a group of droids, Traavis sent Aiwha Squad to search for survivors.
Some days later, while the Jedi Master was inspecting an overcrowded refugee camp, the clones returned, bringing a small boy named Evan along. Traavis commended them on their successful mission, and informed them that General Grievous had been killed, and that the war was likely near its end. Just as they began to relax after their mission, Aiwha Squad's leader, Sarge, received Order 66 and turned on his General. Sarge ordered all the commandos to fire on Traavis, who reached for his lightsaber at his belt to defend himself. He was not fast enough, and was cut down in a hail of blaster fire.
Imperial propaganda led the general public to believe that Traavis was killed while kidnapping refugee children to be trained as Jedi.[1]
[edit] Behind the scenes
Traavis was named after Karen Traviss, author of the Republic Commando novels.[2]
