Tractor Beam 12 was a tractor beam control unit onboard the Death Star. It was located in Section N6, as part of the Level 6 Core Shaft Corridor within the Tractor beam power-generator trench. In 0 BBY, during the skirmish on the battlestation with Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, it was turned off by Obi-Wan Kenobi to deactivate the entire tractor grid, allowing the Millennium Falcon to escape. The system screen inscription read Power, Inoperative, and Tractor Beam 12 (Sec. N6) in Aurebesh.
