Examples of use
Edit
- In Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, when the Gungans realize the battle droids have shut down, the one pushed over by Jar Jar Binks has "1138" in Trade Federation Basic numerals on its backpack. The display on Darth Maul's macrobinoculars shows Trade Federation Basic, but the text is gibberish.
- In HoloNet News Vol. 531 49, in the news story "15 Dead in Houk / Weequay Brawl at Eastport", a screen in the Eastport processing station says "GATE 24".
- In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode The Citadel, the tactical droid's computer screen reads "SEPARATIST ESCORT SHUTTLE CLASS TYPE B" . "SCAN COMPLETE" . "SUPPLIES" . "BEVERAGES" . "FOOD" . "MORE FOOD" . "GUNS" . "GENERAL SUPPLIES" . "FROZEN RATIONS" . "ANAKIN SKYWA" [obscured] . "CARBONITE" . "METAL". The bottom of the screen, seen in the wideshots (barely visible), says "DESTROY" and "LET PASS".
- In the non-canonical Star Wars Tales comic Force Fiction, a restaurant meny reads: "IF YOU HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO TRANSLATE THIS ENTIRE MENU PLEASE TRY TO DEVOTE AND EQUAL AMOUNT OF TIME TO MORE IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE EXCERCISE OR GOOD CONVERSATIONS AMONG FRIENDS OR LOOKING AT SUNSETS OR TELLING THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM" . "THIS MESSAGE IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE WRITER THE CHILDRENS [sic] TELEVISION WORKSHOP AND THE LETTER O" . "BY THE WAY MICHELLE AND DREA AND SHELLY AND CHRIS AND EVINRUDE I LOVE YOU ALL" . "WRITER KEVIN MARANGON (refers to writer Kevin Rubio and the artist Lucas Marangon) SOCIALIST KARL MARX".
