|Trade Federation Fortress|
|Chronological and political information|
A Trade Federation Fortress was a military installation used by the Trade Federation. It was brown on the outside and cylindrical in shape. They fired laser blasts at enemy targets and featured missile launchers at air targets. Infantry units could garrison inside and increase a fortresses' firepower. Constructed by OX9 labor droids, Trade Federation Fortresses were used to produce military units such as the Long Range Air Attack Mechanism or the Bio cannon or the Trade Federation P-series destroyer droid and the Heavy destroyer droid. Bounty hunters were hired at these fortresses. Fortresses were also able to be fortified further with an influx of resources.
Fortresses were also constructed at the order of commander battle droid OOM-9 during the Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY. These fortresses were also constructed in the city of Spinnaker. They were destroyed by elements of the Gungan Grand Army. Two more were destroyed in Harte Secur while the Gungan Grand Army liberated their fambaas from Camp Six.
Behind the scenesEdit
Trade Federation Fortresses appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2002 expansion pack. These fortresses are buildable in the Trade Federation campaign, or if the player captures a Trade Federation worker droid, or in the multiplayer mode. They are destroyable during the Gungan campaign; more appear during the Gungan campaign's bonus mission, a non-canon alternate version of the Second Battle of Theed.
