Trade Federation Freighter

The Trade Federation Freighter was a small freighter used by the Trade Federation. It and its successor, the Trade Federation Superfreighter were both common around the time of the Invasion of Naboo.

Although unarmed, the Trade Federation Freighter was equipped with deflector shields. The freighter could also unload its cargo in flight. Some freighters were known to be completely automated. The Freighter was also capable of docking with the larger Trade Federation Superfreighter.

A number of these freighters were in a convoy that the pirate captain Nym attacked in 32 BBY over Lok. Later, freighters of this type were part of another convoy that was destroyed over Naboo by Nym and his allies. By 22 BBY, the Freighter was still a common sight in the Karthakk system. A large amount of Freighters were seen leaving Mount Merakan carrying materials needed for the production of Trihexalon. Not long after, a few were seen at the Battle of Nod Kartha attempting to reach the planet.
