Trade Federation maintenance droids were bulky, primitive, treaded droids designed to remove dust and debris from the ventilation shafts of Trade Federation Lucrehulk-class battleships. Their electric shocks eradicated most unwanted material with enough power to injure Humans and presumably most other carbon-based organisms. They were also motion-sensitive, so that they zapped anything that moved.
