Merchants, also called traders, were people who sold and bought various products. Although some merchants did business legally, many did business illegally.

Behind the scenesEdit

In the game Star Wars Galaxies, merchants were a playable profession prior to the so-called "New Game Enhancements" of 2005. After the changes, the merchant profession was removed, and merged with the newly created trader profession. In the game, traders are the basis of most of the in-game economy.
