Traeda was an Imperial Grand Moff. He was a rival of Grand Admiral Tigellinus, and envied his opponent's quick rise to power.
Some time after the Battle of Yavin, Traeda lost an important ally, Governor Weizel, who defected to Tigellinus's faction.
