A training datapad was a type of datapad used by aspiring cadets of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Academy for training. The young farmboy Luke Skywalker, who would eventually become one of the Rebel Alliance's greatest heroes, trained for the Imperial Academy with a training datapad he kept in his loft.[1]
