These blasters were used by the Trandoshans during the Clone Wars on the moon Wasskah. Around 21 BBY, the Trandoshans installed a special device in these blasters. If a prisoner on Wasskah had possession of one of these blasters with the device, the blaster would disable itself. Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang also made use of these weapons.
