The Treppus-2 vibroblade was a knife-sized melee weapon produced by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc..
This vibroblade had a vibration-dampening handle[2] and a blade fifteen centimeters in length. The power cell was located in the handgrip, and supplied energy to the vibrating blade for up to ten hours.[1] Vibroblade sheaths could be modified with an optional automatic recharge unit[1] and commonly contained diagnostic software and self-sharpening hardware. The Treppus-2 could be set to activate as soon as it was removed from its sheath, or at the press of a button on the hilt. The weapon was balanced so it could be thrown accurately at short distances.[2]
