A tri-wing shuttle was used by General Grievous to flee Coruscant with his captive, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
[edit] History
When an LAAT/i gunship carrying Jedi Master Mace Windu flew nearby, this shuttle's IG-100 MagnaGuard crew shot it down. However, Mace jumped out of his gunship before it crashed and attempted to stop the shuttle from taking off.
Grievous confronted him, but the Jedi used the Force to crush Grievous's chest, causing his already irritated insides to be disrupted and resulting in spasms of uncontrollable coughing that lasted until his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau.
The shuttle escaped to Grievous's Providence-class carrier/destroyer flagship Invisible Hand.[source?] There are no signs of the shuttle leaving Invisible Hand, so it is believed that it was destroyed when the vessel split in half upon its descent to Coruscant.
[edit] Behind the scenes
In the novel Labyrinth of Evil, the craft Grievous used to transport Palpatine to Invisible Hand was referred to both as a tri-wing shuttle and tri-winged shuttle. However, in Star Wars: Clone Wars, the craft used by Grievous shows only two (albeit triangular) wings, with the rear possibly accounting for a third "wing" (perhaps housing stabilizers).
