The Triumphal Arch was a giant arch located in the middle of the Palace Plaza in front of the Theed Royal Palace in the city of Theed, capital of Naboo. It was through this arch, that in the year 19 BBY, the greatest monarch of Naboo, Queen Amidala, then Senator, was drawn in a coffin, supposedly killed by a rogue Jedi, during the earlier Jedi Purge. This act of mournful unity was the last great event before the full control of the Empire set in.

The Triumphal Arch may be a reference to the Arc de Triomphe in France.
