Trynic was the pilot and owner of the YT-1300 Solar Flare. He was widely regarded as the best tramp freighter captain in the Minos Cluster.

Known as a shrewd bargainer with a quick mind, Trynic usually came out ahead on any deal he made. He has managed to turn a tidy profit with the Solar Flare, reinvesting his profits to earn even more. His typical Devaronian appearance (red-tinted skin, sharp teeth, and a pair of horns atop his head) combined with his exceptionally piercing eyes earned him the nickname of "The Devil" from the other tramp freighter captains in the Minos Cluster.
