Tsi, or Mrlsstese was the native language of the Mrlssi species from Mrlsst. Mrlsstese had high piping sounds that some species found delightful and others exasperating. It was considered by some a difficult language to learn.

Most Mrlssi were fluent in both Mrlsstese and Basic, being literate in both languages. Mrlssi accent when speaking Basic had the same effect in alien audiences than Mrlsstese.
