- "You have to know, Tu'ala…why you would sacrifice yourself for another… It isn't that the Force loves you less than other creatures… It is that you love other creatures more."
- ―Zuth

Biography
Edit
Tu'ala was trained by Zuth, who tried to explain to her that sometimes the death of a single individual was necessary to ensure others could fulfill their destiny; a lesson Tu'ala had trouble understanding. She lost her Master some time prior to the Clone Wars, when he died saving some politicians from attempted assassination.
In 22 BBY, Tu'ala was part of Mace Windu's Jedi strike team sent to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala from the Separatist leaders just prior to the start of the Clone Wars. At the Battle of Geonosis, she finally gained comprehension of Zuth's meaning and laid down her own life, taking a shot from a Geonosian soldier that was meant for Anakin Skywalker. Her effort went unnoticed and unappreciated; nevertheless, her deed allowed Anakin to live on and, eventually, to destroy Darth Sidious and return balance to the Force.
Behind the scenes
Edit
In the Attack of the Clones comic adaptation, a female Jedi with white hair and brown robes is depicted lying dead in the Petranaki arena. It is possible, though not officially confirmed, that this is the corpse of Tu'ala.
