The Twelve Kingdoms Era was a period of Tapani history from circa 11,708 BBY to 7,348 BBY.^[1]

This period was marked by the fragmentation of the original Pella Compact colonists into twelve primary Houses. Each House ruled their own colonies without interference until Shey Tapani initiated a twenty-year civil war. Two houses were wiped out, and another collapsed on itself, but Shey Tapani succeeded in uniting the Houses and ending the Twelve Kingdoms Era.

It should be noted that the earliest Mrlssi alliances formed during this era.
