Tyrix served as a commander in the Imperial Army at the garrison on Vryssa. He had thirty years of military experience, which possibly made him a veteran of the Clone Wars.

He was killed by Boba Fett when his superior, General Gaege Xarran gave his brother, Rivo, asylum from the bounty hunter - who was after Rivo - in the base.

He was blindsided by a blaster bolt when Fett was presumed dead from a chemtrox gas attack.
