Tyro Caladian was a Senatorial aide and lawyer during the last decade of the Old Republic. He was of the Svivreni species with black hair.

He was a good friend of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and offered his services to the Jedi Knight whenever he could. He was very helpful during Kenobi’s investigation of the galactic criminals, Granta Omega and Jenna Zan Arbor. It was Tyro who informed the Jedi of Omega’s ties to Senator Sano Sauro and Zan Arbor’s location of hiding on Romin. Two years before the Clone Wars began, Granta Omega started a plot to assassinate Supreme Chancellor Palpatine as well as a number of other members of the Senate through the use of assassin droids targeted on key politicians.
During these events, Caladian discovered something of great importance: there was a dark power running the Senate. However, he was one of the twenty-two people assassinated that day, killed before he could inform anyone of his discoveries. It was a mystery as to why Tyro, only a senatorial aide, would be a target for assassination. When Obi-Wan discovered his body, rather than say goodbye, he wished Tyro good luck on his journey in the afterlife, the words every Svivreni told a loved one before a journey.
Tyro's cousin was Curran Caladian.

It is heavily implied that somehow, Tyro managed to find information related to Palpatine's true nature and was thus killed by the seeker droids to silence him. A major hint is when seconds before his death: he looks with fear over Kenobi's shoulder and thus implying that he saw Palpatine. Another hint is when he tells Obi-Wan over his comlink, "I stumbled on something. Something... terrible. ... the highest level... great evil... ... only you can understand... (No one is sure exactly what he said because Obi-Wan's comlink was cracking up because he was deep in the sewers.)
