The Tyyyn Nebula was a vast cloud in the Kashyyyk system. The gas and dust were unusually thick and dense throughout, making the nebula a natural choice for pirates, such as the Ghrag Mercenaries, preying on unsuspecting freighters. All throughout the Galactic Civil War, the Tyyyn Nebula remained a hotbed of piracy, despite several Imperial incursions.

The Tyyyn Nebula appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online-role playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
