The Ukian Torbull originated from the agricultural world of Ukio. The Torbull was an experiment by the Ukians to breed a hardy pack animal that could survive any environment. They were partly successful in that the animal was very capable of functioning in diverse environments and was easy to domesticate.

Its one major disadvantage was its voracious appetite. The Torbull had to be fed and watered at least four times a day to survive. As a result the creature was not a popular pack beast.

The Torbull was a popular source of food. A soup made from the flesh of the animal's tail was a popular dish.
