Ulgo, who called himself King Ulgo the Magnificent, "king of all the Duloks", was a Dulok from the Forest Moon of Endor. Whether there was any truth to Ulgo's claims to royalty, at some point before the Battle of Yavin, he was an old and wrinkled miser who lived in a cave in the Canyons of Mist near the Whispering River. There he laid stranglevine snares for his prey; lantern birds were a particular favorite. He wore an Ewok-fur vest, which he had gotten from the Dulok Vulgarr in exchange for two small birds, and he carried a long-handled flint ax for protection.

One fateful day, Ulgo's home was disturbed by a group of Ewok warriors in hang gliders. Led by Chief Chirpa, they claimed that they were searching for a wokling named Malani. When he saw Ulgo's Ewok-fur vest, the Ewok Pondo made ready to attack, but Chirpa restrained him. When Warok, another Ewok warrior, tried to release Ulgo's lantern birds (claiming that they were sacred to the Great Spirit), Ulgo attacked. Warok dodged, but the wingspar of his hang glider hit the Dulok in the head and sent him over the side of the cliff. He hit a rock in the Whispering River and died.
