A Human male police officer served as a member of the Coruscant Security Force in 40 ABY. He was present at a riot in the Corellian Quarter of Galactic City on Coruscant. The CSF had fired dispersal gas into the crowds in an attempt of breaking up the riot that was in progress. The officer was almost shot and killed by Barit Saiy, a Corellian in the crowd. However, Ben Skywalker deflected the blaster bolt with his lightsaber, saving the officer's life and preventing an escalation of violence that would have resulted from the killing of a police officer. Realizing that Ben was somewhat disoriented from the dispersal gas, the officer pulled him out of the crowd to safety.
