The Hutt crime lord Smada the Hutt employed several Ganks as part of his entourage on the planet D'vouran in 0 BBY. During an outdoor confrontation with the Human children Tash and Zak Arranda, two Ganks mysteriously disappeared into the planet itself when they attempted to harm the children. The other Ganks attempted to crowd onto Smada's hoversled, but the Hutt knocked one off with his tail. That Gank was then swallowed by the planet as well.
