A male Otolla Gungan observer lived during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. From the planet Naboo, the Gungan served the Republic as an observer during a battle on the planet Drongar in 20 BBY. However, the Gungan was hit in the mouth by a sonic blaster shot from a Separatist soldier; the injury left his buccal cavity severely varicosed. The Gungan was brought to the Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7, where he was operated on by the Duros surgeon Leemoth.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Gungan had a brief appearance in MedStar I: Battle Surgeons, the first novel of the MedStar Duology. Battle Surgeons was written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry and published in 2004.^[1]
