A bird species was native to the planet Kiros. Darts D'Nar kept some of these as pets during the Battle of Kiros and planned to sell them had the Jedi not captured him. They are gentle animals, and are very tame. They also appear to be quite intelligent little creatures, as one laughed when it saw Anakin Skywalker flurting with Queen Miraj Scintel.
