An individual of the Swokes Swokes species was alive during the Galactic Republic's last years. The Swokes Swokes was a companion of Yeb Yeb Adem'thorn, a Swokes Swokes senator who represented the planet Makem Te in the Republic's Galactic Senate on its capital planet of Coruscant in 32 BBY. During that year, the Swokes Swokes was with Senator Adem'thorn and another member of the species in the Senate Building's Grand Convocation Chamber when Queen Amidala of the planet Naboo called for a Vote of No Confidence in Finis Valorum, the Republic's Supreme Chancellor.

BiographyEdit

A member of the Swokes Swokes species lived during the Galactic Republic's waning years.^[1] During the year 32 BBY,^[3] the Swokes Swokes was a companion of^[1] Yeb Yeb Adem'thorn, a Swokes Swokes delegate of the planet Makem Te. Senator Adem'thorn was a representative for the world in the Republic's Galactic Senate^[4] that met on Coruscant, the galactic capital planet.^[1] The individual was with Adem'thorn and another member of the species in a repulsorpod of the Senate Building's Grand Convocation Chamber at the time Queen Padmé Amidala of the planet Naboo came to the Senate requesting aid against the Trade Federation's invading Droid Army. When the Senate delayed her aid, the Queen called for a Vote of No Confidence in the Republic's Supreme Chancellor, Finis Valorum. In response to the vote, the three Swokes Swokes raised their arms,^[1] and Adem'thorn gave his support for the motion,^[5] which ended in the defeat of Valorum.^[1]

Personality and traitsEdit

The Swokes Swokes had pale skin and black eyes.^[2] When Queen Amidala called for the Vote of No Confidence in Chancellor Valorum, the Swokes Swokes was wearing a green robe. The individual responded to the call for the vote with arms raised.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Swokes Swokes individual first appeared in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, a 1999 film directed by George Lucas, which introduced the Swokes Swokes species to canon.^[1] The individual was next pictured in Del Rey's 2008 The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia as the image for the Swokes Swokes entry.^[2] The encyclopedia also includes an image of a Swokes Swokes sitting in a similar position and dressed similarly to the Swokes Swokes from The Phantom Menace, but unlike in the movie, the Swokes Swokes has a protocol droid present nearby.^[6] It is unclear whether the Swokes Swokes pictured is one of the two Swokes Swokes individuals present with Adem'thorn or a completely different character.
