A group of Rebel saboteurs, including Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and the Wookiee Chewbacca, jumped this man and his partner, Brunok, while on the planet Hockaleg and stole their construction uniforms, enabling them to sneak aboard and eventually destroy the Tarkin.
