This clone commando ordnance specialist was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic's White Squad, a special forces squad of clone commandos who carried out missions for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. A clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, this soldier was born on the aquatic world of Kamino, and acted as White Squad's ordnance specialist during a mission to the Mid Rim planet, Ord Mantell. There, he and his commando brothers engaged a group of Trandoshan bounty hunters responsible for stealing a diplomatic package bound for Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. He destroyed a speeder containing a number of the Trandoshan mercenaries during the course of the mission, but fell to enemy fire when the squad pursued the Trandoshans to their rendezvous with Separatist battle droids looking to purchase the Republic package. The soldier's sergeant, RC-1013, took the life of his squadmates' killers and recovering the parcel they had been sent to retrieve.
- "Last night, Trandoshan bounty hunters intercepted a package of extreme diplomatic importance, intended for Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. They intend to sell it to the Separatists. You are going to make sure that situation does not occur."
- ―ARC trooper officer
A clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, this male Human was born on the aquatic world of Kamino, located in the remote Wild Space region of the galaxy. Over the following years, he was trained as a clone commando to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic. Following the Battle of Geonosis that triggered the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the clone soldier was deployed with the rest of the Grand Army and like all of his commando comrades, joined the ranks of Special Operations Brigade, a special forces unit within the Grand Army made up of clone commandos and Advanced Recon Commandos. Six months after the events of Geonosis, the commando was serving as a member of White Squad, a commando unit led by clone sergeant RC-1013—a man known by the nickname of "Sarge". He and his squad, in addition to the members of Blue Squad, were summoned to the headquarters of Republic Intelligence, where they were met by an ARC trooper intelligence officer in yellow-marked armor. The ARC trooper informed the assembled commandos that a package sent by Malastarian diplomats and intended for Supreme Chancellor Palpatine had been intercepted while en route and stolen by a gang of Trandoshan bounty hunters. The eight commandos were then tasked with retrieving the stolen package from the Trandoshans, a mission that was to take place on Ord Mantell.
At midday on Ord Mantell, the commandos put their ambush into action, with the members of White Squad taking position on a rooftop while Blue Squad blocked the street the Trandoshans were traveling by landspeeders not far away. After White Squad's sniper identified the parcel the commandos had been sent after in the second speeder in the Trandoshan's convoy of three, Sarge ordered the squad's ordnance specialist to strike the lead vehicle; using a shoulder-firing missile launcher, the commando destroyed the target speeder from his rooftop perch. The missile strike also signaled Blue Squad to engage the enemy, rushing the target speeder. The Trandoshans fled, throwing a number of thermal detonators from their speeder that exploded in the wake of their escape, killing Blue Squad. However, the squad sniper was able to shoot the pilot of the second fleeing speeder in the head, killing him instantly and sending the vehicle out of control before crashing in a burst of flame. The final speeder, the one carrying the package the commandos had been tasked with recovering, sped away in the direction of the industrial yards. The explosive's specialist and his squad following in a speeder of their own, piloted by White Squad's fourth member.
Tracking the Trandoshan bounty hunters to a courtyard in the industrial yards, White Squad split up to search for mercenaries. The squad's pilot located the Trandoshans first, falling quickly to fire from the group of Confederacy battle droids that had been sent to make the buy for the package. White Squad's sergeant tossed an EMP grenade through the door, shorting out the droids before he and the other members of the squad burst in, destroying the droids with their DC-17m blaster rifles. The Trandoshans had run behind a secondary blast door however, which the heavy weapon-wielding commando and his team were forced to blow their way through before engaging the bounty hunters. During the course of the shootout, however, White Squad's ordnance specialist was struck by a series of blaster bolts in the chest from an eyepatch-wearing Trandoshan. The bolts of energy penetrated his commando armor, killing him. His brother commando was killed shortly after when his backpack's ordnance module was detonated, but Sarge killed the last of the Trandoshans on his own before reclaiming the stolen package and returning it to Coruscant where it was delivered to Chancellor Palpatine.
This commando displayed a preference for heavy weapons of the explosive variety, wielding a large missile launcher effectively during White Squad's mission to Ord Mantell. He also possessed a DC-17m blaster rifle, the standard weapon for clone commandos in the Republic's Grand Army. The commando wore Katarn-class armor, which he customized with assorted green-colored markings across the arms, chest, and backpack. The armor was also adorned with a bandoleer, which he wore over his left shoulder, and was equipped with numerous grenades.
Behind the scenesEdit
In 2005, the third volume of the Clone Wars Adventures comics introduced two squads of Republic commandos with the story The Package. Though unnamed in the story itself, Wookieepedia uses the conjectural title of "White Squad" for the squad led by Sarge, in contrast to the equally conjectural "Blue Squad" for the sake of reference.
