A butterfly-like creature existed on the Forest Moon of Endor. With a red body and large, black-spotted, yellow wings, the creature appeared harmless to the moon's native frog-like creatures, which sometimes waited on victorias and attempted to catch the flying creatures on their tongues. However, the butterfly-like creature was actually carnivorous and powerful enough to lift a the frog-like creature into the air. The creature's flexible body expanded to accommodate the size of its prey, allowing it to devour its meal whole while still in flight.^[1]

The butterfly-like creature goes unnamed during its brief appearance in "The Season Scepter,"^[1] the thirteenth episode of the second season of the Star Wars: Ewoks television series. "The Season Scepter," written by Bob Carrau and directed by Raymond Jafelice, first aired on November 1, 1986.^[2]
