During the Galactic Civil War, a freighter captain was present on the planet Ord Mantell. He was contracted by Raleigh Dawn to take her to a set of coordinates loaded on a datapad, but a power drain stopped them launching. When Dawn when to investigate, she ended by leaving the planet with Raal Yorta, Sammie Staable, and Smileredon-Verdont. The captain was taken prisoner by the bounty hunter Skorr, who turned him over to Imperial Security Bureau officer Mar Barezz. Barezz interrogated the man, revealing that Dawn was a Rebel fugitive and that he was guilty of attempting to help her escape. After gleaning all the information he could from the captain, including the datapad with the coordinates, Barezz ordered the captain to be killed.
