- "I'm sorry senator Braxis—The Imperial throne cannot interfere with local politics"
"But you promised—" - ―Galactic Emperor Palpatine refuses senator Braxis aid for the planet
After the formation of the Galactic Empire from the Galactic Republic in the year 19 BBY, a planet was represented in the Imperial Senate by the Pho Ph'eahian senator Braxis. One month after the declaration of the New Order, the Empire's political regime, Braxis requested aid for the planet from the Galactic Emperor Palpatine. Despite the fact that he had previously promised the senator the aid he was asking for, the Emperor told the Pho Ph'eahian that he could not help him, as the Imperial throne was unable to interfere in local politics.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The planet's existence was first implied in the 2004 comic book Dark Times 1, which was the first issue of the Star Wars: Dark Times series and the The Path to Nowhere story arc. It was later directly mentioned in the 2009 sourcebook The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia in an entry for Braxis.
