A sarlacc that had lived for centuries on the planet Duroon died of disease[1] around 3643 BBY,[2] during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The sarlacc's body was dragged above ground by archaeologists, who inspected the creature's stomach for preserved antiquities and valuables.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Duroon sarlacc was first mentioned in the Archaeology crewskill mission "A Sarlacc's Stomach" in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1]
