The Unification War was a civil war in the Tapani sector that resulted in the unification of the Tapani Noble Houses. The conflict lasted nearly twenty years.

BackgroundEdit

Twelve kingdoms existed in the Tapani sector for 3,000 years after power was devolved from the Pella Compact.

Prince Shey Tapani of the Tapani noble house of Melantha desired to unite the twelve kingdoms once again and initiated a series of conflicts with the other kingdoms. Forces of the opposing houses were ultimately defeated at the Battle of Shindra's Veil.

AftermathEdit

The defeat of the Rogue Houses allowed Shey Tapani to unite the sector under the Tapani Empire. Tapani crowned himself Emperor of the new dominion, ushering a dynastic period which lasted until 1,582 BBY.

Two noble houses were destroyed during this conflict, and another was absorbed within a century.^[1]

Procopia was established as the new capital of the Tapani sector.

LegacyEdit

The war was subsequently commemorated by the Tapani noble houses at the Unification Gala, which included a reenactment of the final battle, well into the Galactic Civil War.
